As anti-Asian violence surged across the nation, Flushing, Queens chose unity over fear. Through the “Resist Hate, Defend Hope” initiative, community leaders, nonprofits, and residents came together to build a lasting safety network rooted in empowerment, trust, and hope.
Flushing Kids Arts Festival 2024: Celebrating Young Artists & Community
The 2nd Annual Flushing Kids Arts Festival took place on May 4th, 2024. The event successfully brought together 42 young artists along with their families. This event was a day dedicated to creativity and community spirit. A vibrant drawing contest took center stage, with winners recognized in three age categories. Anthony Tam, President of the Kiwanis Hope Foundation, emphasized the festival's importance in bringing the Flushing community together. He celebrated the artistic potential of its youth, showcasing their talents and creativity.
